Our story

Built out of a construction background, focused on one finish

Jack Norfolk came to decorative surfaces through owning a building company, where microcement appeared as part of a specification on one of his own projects. With nobody locally experienced enough to carry out the work, he took a course himself, completed the project and saw the potential straight away. One job led to another, which led to advertising the service and setting up a dedicated decorative applications company trading alongside the construction business.

Today we are a team of three, working from Menston, near Ilkley. Everything we install is a seamless decorative surface: microcement floors, walls, wet rooms, staircases, worktops and furniture, plus poured resin floors. We have been specialising in these systems for three years and are manufacturer-certified with IDEAL WORK UK for microcement and OX RESIN for resin flooring.

Most of our work is for homeowners renovating kitchens, bathrooms, en-suites and open living spaces, alongside architects, interior designers, builders and commercial clients who need a continuous surface with no grout lines and no dust traps. If your project is a joint-free floor over an existing subfloor, a tactile wall behind a media unit or a wet room that reads as one flowing surface, that is our daily work.

We install across Leeds, Bradford, Harrogate, York, Manchester, Sheffield, Ripon, Windermere and Kendal, see all service areas or browse what we install.

Mission and standards

How we decide what is good enough

Our aim is simple: the surface should still look right in five years, and you should never be surprised by a price or a programme. Four rules make that repeatable.

Certified systems, applied to specification

We only install materials we are trained and approved to use: IDEAL WORK UK microcement systems and OX RESIN resin flooring, bought through the official supply chain. Nothing is substituted for a cheaper look-alike, and the build-up follows the manufacturer's specification coat by coat.

We tell you what the substrate needs before we quote

Screeding, levelling, damp-proof membranes, tanking and waterproofing are other trades' work. We survey the space, tell you plainly what has to be in place, and only install once the substrate is ready. That single decision prevents most of the failures people show us photographs of.

One fixed price, agreed in writing

Quotes are free and priced for the job rather than by the day, so the figure you accept is the figure you pay. A 45% deposit covers materials and secures your installation date; the balance is due on completion.

Guaranteed workmanship and full cover

Our workmanship carries a one-year guarantee, and we hold £10 million public liability insurance for every project, domestic or commercial.

Specialists in the team, led by Jack Norfolk

A team of three, on site

Jack Norfolk founded the company and quotes every project personally, so the person who prices the work is the person accountable for it. Two further specialists complete the team, which means installations are staffed by the same trained hands rather than subcontracted out to whoever is available that week.

It also means our diary is finite. Booking early matters, particularly for wet rooms and whole-floor installations where other trades have to be sequenced around us.
